Great to see more of these books coming out.

I was never really a C64 fan but wouldn't mind picking one up out of interest.

Would love to see one of these projects for the BBC Micro which was my first computing/gaming experience. I don't think it would have anywhere near the appeal of the C64/Mega Drive etc. though.

Ordering a copy of the Mega Drive one now for a friend.

Going to back this also, was thinking about backing the £60 quid to get the cart, a lot of money though.

I still play my C64 and its my first true love, sorry wife :pac:

As the cart is limited to 100 I'd say it'll only rise in value, probably not a bad investment if you're that way inclined.

Was thinking the same way, although I am a collector, I have never sold anything yet, just can't bring myself to do it.

Haha, Tell me about it! So many times I've bought things thinking 'yeah! this'll only go up in value!', only to sell absolutely none of it.

    Kickstarter a Quote :

I have just edited the main description with some exciting new updates!

On Friday I received emails from Gary Penn (Zzap!64), Dan Phillips (Armalyte) and Stephen Thompson (S.I.T), all kindly offering to write in the book. Now, as you know, the book won't have 'many' words but it is great to have such industry legends involved. These new writers now add to existing contributors; Robin Hogg (Zzap!64), Stoo Cambridge (Sensible Software), Paul Koller and Andy Roberts (Commodore Format). Even industry legend and backer of this project, Mevlut Dinc has kindly offered to contribute which is very exciting. Having such great names involved with the book obviously adds a lot of kudos to the campaign and will massively enhance the final book! Check out some examples below of how the writing will look and also some new spread designs!! Please note that this is just placeholder text to give an idea of how the final thing will look.

Really hope there are full pages of art from the Last Ninja 1 and 2.

Those games are graphically the best games that came out on the C64,

especially the 2nd one, the amount of detail and realism is sublime, down to each and every pixel.

This is my favourite scene from the 1st game:
