Hi guys, I be honest , the last time i own a PC 'Spice Girls' were on the top of music charts. I be using laptops since than. The last laptop I had was Lenovo g570, and it was not great for my needs. I want to build a gaming PC , but I want to run the build through you guys. My hardware expertise isn't great so most of the part I choose using different guides and reviews

    1. What is your budget?
    800-1050
    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer?
Games and work. I am a software developer , so the machine doesn't have to be to powerful for my needs, but when I go home I want to be able to play Crisis , Assassin's Creed, BF:BC 2 on highest settings possible.
    3. Do you need a copy of Windows?
    nope have win 7 64bit
    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer?
    no
    5. Do you need a monitor?
    no. I have 40inch TV
5a. If yes, what size do you need.
    n/e
5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future?

Probably I will change it one day, but not soon
    6. Do you need any of these peripherals?
    no
    7. Are you willing to try overclocking?
Mayby. Only if I really have to
    8. How can you pay?
    visa
    9. When are you purchasing?
    this week or next
    10. If you need help building it, where are you based?
most of the time Galway , weekends Tipp

If you're going to get an R9 290 gpu, don't get a reference model (which is what you've got in your list). The 290 generates a lot of heat and the reference cooler is both inadequate and very loud. Go for one of the non-reference models, I'm sure someone will jump in and recommend one (I'm not that familiar with AMD models).

    Hello luck100,
Thanks for your insights. I am not set on any of the parts so if you have any proposition for different hardware it will be most appreciated.

I'm sure the good folk here that know more than I might say, a 1000 euro PC with no ssd is crazy. To fit it in budget I would reckon the mobo is where savings are to be made.
Oh, and just to add, if your not going to over clock you don't need that CPU or mono. A non k version with a board half that price would do.

Nicely spoted with the 'k' processor I acctually find this http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/506/Intel_Core_i5_i5-4670_vs_Intel_Core_i5_i5-4670K.html.
What mobo you think would be more for me ?

Most any mobo will do once it has the 1150 socket. Defo no need for that one.

Get an Xeon 1230 v3 (it is an I7 CPU) it is only 8 euro more than that I5 one you have , Ssd , a Gigabyte r9 290 -357 euro , a better case (corsair carbide 300r)60 euro .

    Dear Sterling,
Great advice, I changed the CPU,mobo,HDD. I think I will try to cut some costs with a Radeon r9 280X WINDFORCE 3X...Danger Zone!!!

Did you use Geizhals the 300r and other parts think is only 60 using it.

You only need a z87 extreme if you are overclocking. A h87 will do just fine. Asus h87 pro or the plus, 80 ish using Geizhals. You don't need the Asus one its just better quality. Asrock one will do around 60-80

You will save about 80 euro with a cheaper mobo and using Geizhals. This will allow you to get the r9 290 or just cut costs.

Noted. I don't have a PC at home so I will have a look 2 moro before work. I will find a cheaper mobo but I was wandering if I really need a r9 290. Is there a NVIDIA with a similar spec?

The 290 is a great bang for buck card, IMO get a cheaper MB and put those savings into a 290 as oppose to the 280.

Its a simple matter of what your money is buying. The R9 290 buys better gaming performance out of the box. A z87 only shows its worth when over clocking.

Go for the mobo recommended above, that saves another 50 which allows you to go for a better gpu. For a gaming pc you want to get a serviceable cpu and pump as much as you can into your gpu budget.

I stick to Corsair Carbide Series 300R because I really like the way it looks. WD Blue 1TB is a great value, but I don't think I need it just now. I have few HDD should do me just fine for work.AsRock and R9 290 are not avaiable atm. I found them on http://www.mindfactory.de, and was wondering if anybody used that site before ? If anybody finds a good price on them it would be most appreciated. I left the Ram on Corsair, as I never had any problem with any of their products

Do you know how to use Geizhals? I noticed your prices are still off.

Just get the Asus h87 plus think 83 euro and the Asus h87 pro is 87. Will have to keep eye out for card the r9 cards are in demand.

I was just writing the prices as they are on hardwareversand.de. If I will order most of the parts from them will the delivery cost by charged for total or, per every single item ?

You go to Geizhals.de website. Put your part in the search. Then select it from list. You will see a list of shops select hardwareversand.de from this list and you will get a discount. Do this repeatedly for all parts to your basket. This will knock 30ish euro off your build. Just in case you have not already.

No you get charged delivery for total items.

You are right all the products where on average € 3 - 5 cheaper. It looks like the gpu is not is stock atm. Should I order the rest of the parts now and gpu later when its available or should I wait and get everything later? On average how long it takes for them to restock?
