Can someone please tell me how I can pay the household charge online.

I have paid the local property tax last year, both for 2013 & 2014 online no problem.

I have tried to pay the household charge online this weekend, put in PPSN, pin and property ID, it then comes up saying all submitted, no fees owed. I never paid the household but now want to.

How do I do this online. Am I missing something on the screen, have tried everything and don't want to get more penalised. Would appreciate if anyone could explain where I am going wrong.

    Thank you.

Did you not hear?, the protesters won and we don't have to pay that no more.

Also they took the fluoride out of the water.

Write a cheque, fold it up and put it in your CD tray. Sorted.

Any serious answers out there please?

Knew I would get a few smart replies in AH, but was also hoping for an informed answer.

Thank you. I had checked that but when I put in my details it just says no further action needed, I haven't paid it and don't want to get screwed further. Will try the helpline again today, but the likelihood of getting through seems very slight.

As far as I know the online payment for household charge has closed.
    https://www.householdcharge.ie/default.aspx
You can probably ring them and make your payment over the phone.

Go to revenue.ie, then LPT online. Log in with your details (PPSN, ID and PIN). When you log in, there should be a button that says "Pay Household Charge Arrears". If not, click "View Property History". When in that page if you see that it says, under 2013/2014, "Household Charge Arrears", then you have to ring 1890 200 255 and asked to be put through to the head office for them to take the payment.

Do it soon though, lines will be jammed all day and from 9am to 7.30pm it can be hard to get a hold of them.

Just checked there and there is nothing about household charge on the property history page. Will just have to phone them. Thank you.

If you don't see Household Charge Arrears either on the main page or under Property History then make sure that you haven't already paid it. I know it sounds stupid but youll be surprised at the amount of people who HAVE, but just completely forgot. Your local county council are generally the people to talk to regarding that. If you're positive you havent paid it, then yeah ring that number and ask for the head office

Same thing happened to me so I rang them on Friday.. spent ages on the phone confirming details and was passed through to payments but only got a recording saying they were closed since 5pm(this was around 5.15pm) It doesnt give me an option to pay online either..I wonder did they store the card number and will take it automatically from it like a DD?
Im not trying anymore anyway..Im sure they will be in contact soon enough.

Hehe, talk about a lot of last minute larrys in this country. Over 10,000 people call the Revenue Information Line yesterday on the day of the deadline to pay the Household Charge so as usual deadline is extended to tomorrow Wed 2nd. Suppose the grab all Government want to rake in as much dosh as possible.

Suppose in fairness, we're not the only last minuters in the world as Obamas healthcare website gets bombarded on its last day of registration......and crashes.
