Waxing hair on forearms, should I do it?

I am extremely conscious about how hairy my forearms are. Although the hair is fairly light in colour, the individual hairs are ridiculously long, and they do not lay flat on my arms so it looks like my arms are just covered in a layer of fuzz. It is so unattractive and I hate having my arms on show.

I was thinking of getting the hairs waxed off my arms especially for the summer. Some people are telling me that I shouldn't do it, but I don't see what the problems could be. I am curious to see what people's opinions are on here.

    I do that every summer.

Feck the others, do what makes you feel confident

I've never done it but have heard that waxing the hair makes it grow back thicker. I don't know how true this is though.

I do mine all the time, well especially in summer. And it makes applying tan and sun lotion so much easier. Don't notice it thicker or anything

I have a fair few clients that have this done, go for it! Your arms will be lovely and smooth, clients love having it done! Also, I've never had a client with an unnatural amount of hair, it's just something that bothers them :)

I got my arms lasered with IPL. Best decision I ever made. I got about 4-5 treatments and while there is some hair there, it just looks natural. I got this done years ago and the hair has never grown back

I use an epilator every couple of weeks, I find it does the job (my arms sound very like yours!) and what I like is that it's not as "bald" a finish as waxing.

My friend waxes her arms and you'd almost notice because of how conspicuously bald they are, if that makes sense? (No judgement, just an observation). The reason I don't bother with the epilator on my legs is that it misses bits, but that works for arm hair as it gives a more natural look. Also I can just do it myself in a few minutes rather than have to book appointments etc!

Hi, I'm going against the grain here but I would say leave it alone if you can. If you start waxing/shaving your going to have stubbly arms as the hair grows back and that would be worse imo. Laser will only work on your hair if its dark and coarse. You say the hair is fair, any darker ones you could always bleach, Boots have their own brand bleaching kit its really good.

Waxing never gives me stubble. It grows back very fine and soft.

waxing makes the hair grow back more finely over time alright but the hair is still going to be coming through and on show- I wouldn't show my legs while they are in the in between waxing stage and it would even be more noticeable on the arms
