I've been searching for a part-time job for the last 2 years and have yet to secure anything. They never get back to me. Anyone have any tips on the best places to apply to or any openings at the moment? Really need a job. I have no connections and so am flying solo. I've tried everywhere and back again but just have to try try again, there's nothing else I can do.

The economy is recovering. Even places like Phisboro which during the boom was a bit of dump is having store opening at the moment. There appears to be 3 new stores being fitted in Phisboro alone.

Indeed.ie is amazing for pulling jobs from various sites. Its like a job search engine. You just need to keep applying and handing in CVs.

OP, persistence. I needed a part-time job and started looking determinedly in February. Found a job in two weeks and got a call to interview for another one I applied for in that time. Do as many online applications as you can in conjunction with handing out CVs.
