He bred a world of show winners. Heavily used by pedigree breeders, high reliability figures.

Was told the same, had a few calfs by him but they they were mostly all bulls. Good quality and very quiet. They all killed as u's after aswell according to ICBF.

He was a hell of a boxer anyway, no idea what's he like nowadays as a bull.

Had one a few years ago and was very happy with him, he was very quite and threw some great calves, his heifers are very quite too I had crossed him with fr and frx cows so they have good milk from that side. One problem we had with was when we crossed him with BB's and ended with loads of calving problems. Very little issues with the Fr, AAX and LIMX cows.

He wouldnt be great as a maternal bull but a fantastic beef bull throwing well shaped animals everytime.

As above, poor maternal figures as heifers off him will have poor amounts of milk. Quite muscley calves though.

However, one thing that is not taken into account for pedigree animals is feet. Rocky bred bulls and heifers often tend to have poor feet. If he's over 12 months old and the hoofs are showing no signs or the edges overgrowing, then he should be fine. However, if there are little curls on the hoofs or if they have been trimmed already, then you will need to be prepared to get your hoof man to trim him on an annual basis.

Good point about feet. Surprising ICBF don't score for it. They do for Dairy bulls alright but not beef.
