    That is an unusually high failure rate for WD, I'm sure your aware that drives are really sensitive so it's probably best to get a case for them as the odd knock and bang can cause alot of damage

    That's funny because I've two WD drives and are grown around the place , never so much as a hiccup from them

    All my HDD's are WD, barring a Samsung, however I've not bought WD in over a year so dunno what new models are like.

    I wonder if quality of HDD's worsen as they seem to continually get cheaper. Cheaper components within more prone to failure, but what the heck, it's cheaper?
