    If you live in a preservation area where normal solar installations are not acceptable and have need for a commercial solar option such as a grant funded housing scheme or local amenity then these slates would be your only option. They are good if the correct quality but of course the effective output per m2 is no where near the standard solar panel. For the average home they do not make economic sense.
    There is a European company who I came across recently in Holland who have a similar product but probably would not satisfy most aesthetic requirements.
