Anyone ever put their dairy maidens on adlib nuts at this stage. 90% of the heifers are up to target weight, and most have come bulling at this stage. but with the weather they are going to be tight on grass for the next 3 weeks. I am thinking about dropping an adlib feeder in the field and giving them an 18% heifer nut for 3 or 4 weeks.
    Anyone any experience with this?

How tight? You don't want them getting fat. 10kg DMI should be enough for them. 20 would have a daily demand of 200kg so 1ha at 1200 cover should last them a week with 2kg of conc/hd/day. A lot cheaper than 2.50/day on ad lib.
