Would spending £200 quid do much for this PC?

Quick question folks. I have about £200 (sterling, am buying from the north) and would like your opinion on whether there is anything worth while doing to this machine to get a bit more poke a out of it. Ideally I know I'd want to spend more and do a new build but just can't get the cash together for what I really want.

So what do you think, am I wasting my money or what? Thanks folks.

    from Speccy...

    Operating System
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1

    CPU
    Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 2.83GHz 33 °C
    Yorkfield 45nm Technology

    RAM
    8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz (9-9-9-24)
    it's 2x4GB Corsair DDR3 1333MHz, don't know why it's showing as 666MHz here

    Motherboard
    ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5P43TD PRO (LGA775) 25 °C

    Graphics
2048MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series (MSI) 29 °C
    MSI R7850-2GD5/OC

    Storage
    1397GB Seagate ST31500341AS ATA Device (SATA) 29 °C
    1397GB Seagate ST31500341AS ATA Device (SATA) 28 °C
    232GB SAMSUNG SP2504C (SATA) 28 °C

    PSU is a Corsair TW650W

btw, everything is running stock, no overclocking as it is all a bit witchcrafty to me. There is a feck-off big Zalman cooler with a 110mm fan on the cpu but I've always been too afraid to try anything.

an SSD would be a nice buy, but it wont add any performance per se, but with a fresh OS install, it'll probably feel like a different machine and you could carry it to your new rig in the future.

I reckon that Q9550 is probably still fine and upgrading will mean a new mobo too.

i think a fat SSD and a bit of an OC on the GPU. that card could get up to like 1200mhz on the core with very little work and nice upgrade all round.

Thanks Tea_Bag, going to splash it on an SSD, like you said makes sense as I'd be doing that anyway for a new machine, might as well do it now. Just have to educate myself on the OC a bit and get stuck in there.
