    Hi,

    5.0°W Eutelsat 5 West A 11591.00 V 20000 2/3. It happened on Friday last week.
Does anyone has the same problem?

    Thank you,

Just checked now, and all working fine in Nth Dublin.
Maybe your dish moved, or lnb is dying!

    Thank you, white_westie.

    I've check the neighbor frekuency, 5.0°W Eutelsat 5 West A, 11609.00 V, 5969 1/2. With the same beam:"Super", same polarisation,.
It works fine. But only france 2 frequency is not locking signal.

    Again, thank you.

Had been watching ok last week ok (before Friday) and adjusted my dish slightly due to wind movement. Just now my dish was pointed to 23.5E and I moved it back to 5W to check for you. Initially, although signal quality was 100%, I was just seeing a blank screen, same on France3 and France5. Checked a couple of other channels on the satellite ok and went back to France2 and the picture returned ok. A bit bizarre! But fine now. Moved the dish to another satellite and back to 5W and all ok. It may be that the video and audio PIDs being used were changed and don't match what you have stored in the channel description, perhaps?
    Here's France2 details:
    11591V 20000 FEC 2/3 VPID 120 APID 130

Edit - just saw your photo - maybe change your FEC setting on the transponder from "Auto" to 2/3 -

Had a look on other transponders - GCPE2 on 12544H 27500 3/4 is broadcasting France2 at the moment. Usually I think it's just a test card.

Thank you guys, I just realized that a signal is interfering on my area this frequency.
Time after time it get loss. I change the decoder and it seems better, but not resolved.

Is this a DECT phone causing the interference? Usually this problem starts around 11630 and is caused by the phone's signal interfering with the intermediate frequency between the LNB (on the dish) and the receiver. Moving the phone (or whatever is causing the interference) away from the cable between the dish and receiver sorts the problem. Lower quality cable can be the issue here or joins in the cable allowing interfering signal to leak into the cable.

    Thank you, fat-tony.

I have made some corrections on dish position. France 2 frequency is working fine now. Probably only 11591.00 V was too much sensitive. It needs more strength on signal regarding other neighbor frequency. I'm sure that some other signal are on my area.

    This case is closed now.

Ok - if you say so!
That France2 transponder is very powerful, though - consistently gives me 100% signal quality.

just bumping in here rather than do a new thread.

Looking for any feedback on dish size reception issues for atlantic bird 3 at 5w in Cork. reason I have a spare sky dish and was going to use it (according to satbeams lyngsat etc probably a bit too small)

    Any input would be great
    thanks

A sky minidish will be large enough for french tv on 5 west since there has recently been a power increase on the particular transponder that has the fta versions of france 2 3 5 and 0

I'd agree with that, too. Transponders are very strong - 48 to 50dBW in the Cork area according to Lyngsat map which means that a 60cm dish would be ok.
The HD versions of France2 etc are encrypted, though, so you will only get the SD channels without a subscription card.
