It's your dog, it's your wedding. Do what you want. I don't see your problem?

Wherever there are people, dogs belong.

We were in a similar situation... but because of risk of muddy paws/horses being chased after/other things which would be unfair on the day to Snickers, we went with a cardboard cutout instead.

He went down pretty well with the guests, and started photobombing people (and even made an appearance in the photobooth by himself):

www.partydouble.ie was who we used, I found them excellent to deal with.

A friend of mine has donkeys and when she got married, the place she was living was only a couple of miles from the church so after the church and the standard photos outside the church they went out to the field, she climbed over the fence in her wedding dress and up on one of the donkeys for a photo!
I say go for it, I think it's a fantastic idea, if you have someone to bring him to and from the venue and to look after him and make sure he's clean when he gets near your dress.

I've just googled 'wedding photo with dog' and there are loads of lovely photos! go for it!

I use a pet sitting service when I'm away and I'm pretty sure I read on their website that they do this -bring your pet to the ceremony for photos or whatever and then bring them home. Google pet sitters ireland.

Your photographer should be able to help. One album ours showed us had the couple's dogs in loads of pictures.

There was a brilliant beauty blog and the girl got married and had her pet sitter bring the dog for pics (scroll down to see her dog)! http://www.mwah.ie/2013/01/gracie-by-stephanie-allin/
Also Robbin Williams had his dogs as bridesmaids! http://chasingrainbowskissingfrogs.blogspot.ie/2010/08/robbie-williams-marries-ayda-field.html
We are definitely having our three involved when we get married, don't mind what people say they obviously don't understand. I really just want to elope and if that happens I will do a "thrash the dress" walking the dogs on the beach :)

I'd definitely include your fur baby! Particularly as the logistics are working out.

When I got married last year my wife really wanted our dog in the photos. Our photographer managed to get this photo at the house while she was getting ready and when she had the dress on.

Overall I was happy how this was captured

    Best of luck

If it's do-able then definitely go for it! I'd have loved to have our dog in the photos but she's really, really excitable and usually pees when she meets new people. Considering it would have been a day when she'd have been meeting upwards of 100 new people, we figured it was probably best to leave her at home. :o

I've been at two weddings where the couples dog/dogs came along too, I don't think it's mad at all. One had the dogs as ring-bearers, but these were ex-guidedogs, so well used to crowds.

We had our dog at our wedding. We had a friends son bring him to the ceremony and home again afterwards. We got a few great pics with him before he left :) ours was also an outdoor ceremony :)

The Racing Manager of Waterford greyhound track had her greyhound bring the rings to the altar.

They charged me something like €35 for a four foot cutout.
