Hi does anyone know if the edge 500 can give a current / live GPS position or where to find it on the menu? Say if you need to call for help and don't know your location. Thanks

    In a roundabout way :P:

Menu > GPS > Elevation Points > Set Elevation

coordinates are displayed (you don't have to set an elevation point - can just go back)

Wish they allowed this to be displayed on one of the main screens!

From the manual that I just happened to have opened.

    Satellite Page
The satellite page shows your current GPS satellite information. To view the satellite page, press and hold MENU, and select GPS > Satellite.
On the satellite page, GPS accuracy appears at the top of the page. The black bars represent the strength of each satellite signal received (the number of the satellite appears below each bar).

I'll try that, thanks . Would be handy as a main display alright

Had a look there alight too but didn't think it gave the co-ordinates, just gave the satallite info
