Hey guys, I'm picking out parts to order on hardwareverssand, to build me my first good-spec computer.

I'll be using this desktop for gaming (literally every big game, i play a lot), video editing, music production (i'm getting a soundcard later) and a little games development.

Are these parts all compatible and capable of working well together?

    Cpu ; Intel i5 4670k
    Motherboard Asrock extreme 4
    Ram ; 8gb gskill ripjaws
    Case ; Corsair 300r
    Graphics Card ; Msi twinfrozr n770 2gb
    Psu ; Corsair v650
    Harddrive ; Toshiba 2tb 7,200rpm
Solid state hd ; samsung evo 840 128gb
Cpu fan ; Cooler master 412s
Optical drive ; liteon 25x read and write.

I know people will talk about my psu choice and my cpu fan. I wanted to go for the evo 212 for the fan, and the cx600 for the psu, but both are out of stock, and i want to order tomorrow if i can.

All I can say is that it looks good to me. Don't know why people would ask you about the cooler, I've been using it for a while and it's awesome for the price.

Is the 412s loud at all?

    Xeon 1230 v3 and an r9 290 4gb 357. Worth the extra 57 over the 770.

A CPU cooler is only as loud as the fan you put on it. Also depends what you mean by loud, people's standards for a loud PC are different. If it is a bit too loud for you then you could always buy a Noctua fan to stick on it.
