Go on to Google .ie or .com and suss out if there's any way to contact them. If you are successful, then send them the email you got and ask them to confirm if its legit.

thats just it,they have loads of help options ,but no email address.

Hi monsterrrs,

Someone else has created a new Gmail account and accidentally typed your address as the backup address. When we sent the verification code to the backup address, it went to you. It's confusing, but nothing to worry about and no danger to your account.
