    On another recent thread a poster mentioned Dyphraxia as a speech impediment. Now I am familiar with Dyspraxia which is a difficulty with thinking out, planning and carrying out sensory / motor tasks. (link)

    Does anyone know what Dyphraxia in relation to speech impediment is?

    Never heard of it. Googled the word and this thread was result number 1!

    Could it have a different spelling?

    I'm pretty sure that was just a spelling mistake.. No such thing as dysphraxia

    Dysphasia is a disorder of language, which can cause issues around speech, as can dysarthria.

    Dyspraxia I think you mean. There are a few different types. General dyspraxia is associated with lack of coordination and balance and oral dyspraxia then with speech and communication difficulties.
