Where to get Michelin tyres?

I need a couple if tyres nothing fancy but I want michelin energy savers.

I can't find any of the usual suppliers that actually do michelin they can get them but they want €150 ish each. They want to sell me contenintals.

The same michelin is €80 fitted in Northern Ireland. I would prefer to keep the cash down here but I am going north next weekend so just in case I thought I would ask. I also need four wheel alignment.

Car is a Prius 2006.

It's a no-brainer. Buy them up North. I'm all for supporting local businesses too, but when they are double the price they can fcuk right off.

I've always found discount tyres to be as cheap if not cheaper than web/UK prices.

Yip, that's where I got mine, and they went out of their way to get them when they didn't have the size I needed in stock.

What size? I paid nowhere near €150.

Last time I got a quote in Belfast, it was higher than Dublin!Where in the north can you get Michelin's for €80 (about £65 ish)?

A-one in Dromore quoted me £73 each. Yes is I have underguesstimated the conversion to €.

Is that an unusual size or something? I think I paid €75 each for 195/65/15s there, although it was a year ago.

It does seem to be slightly usual size wise.

You're right and I think I gave them the wrong size at discount too. I'll try them again tomorrow.

If you fit 205/55/16s they are considerably cheaper than the 195s. So much so, buy four the price of 3.

Discount do a 205/55/16 in Goodyear Ultragrip Performance which are a good LRR tyre. Ask for Keith

I have them on my Gen 2 and am quite happy with them.

Another one for Discount Tyres in Rosemount Business Park, Blanchardstown.

Have both cars on Michelin's and every time it was more economical to buy from them, this was taking into account buying online and paying fitting Vs NI etc.

The Michelin fuel promotion is back on again at the moment so you could get up to €60 back in fuel vouchers if buying Michelin. They reduced it on last year but still OK to get something back.

Sorry, you're right. I meant to type Efficientgrip Performance. I have the Ultragrips in a 195/65/15 as my winter tyres which I took off a few weeks ago

Any idea how much they are in 205/55/16? PM if you prefer.

Michelin have a factory in Ballymena. I just wanted to share that.

I just got 4 tyres (goodyear eagles) delivered 2 weeks ago. Ordered on Friday, delivered on Tuesday. Much cheaper than eiretyres also.

Had them fitted for 50€ at local tyre fitters.

About what I paid for Bridgestones a while back. I wouldn't mind having Michelins for the same price. Thanks for that.:)

We're running a fuel voucher deal with Michelin at the moment. This deal is running until the end of this month. Buying two 16" tyres you'll get back a €20 voucher and buying four you'll get €40. Vouchers are redeemable in Maxol service stations.

Price include fitting, balancing and vat.

try sean mc manus tyres, drogheda, just googled his specials there michelin energy saver 205/55 16 e85 fitted - not bad , doubt u'd do much better up north n petrol etc

I ended up changing size to 205/55 R16. Ending up with 4 Dunlop Sport Bluresponse from Discount Tyres.

I needed three in the end after my wife who had only passed her test the day before drove for 55kms on one of the newly new michelin I had on. The tyre was destroyed.

I would recommend Discount Tyres, nice bunch and a good price too.

On a side note I have the one good Michelin 195/55 16 with 6mm tread on it, they have 8mm when they are new. I asked the guy in Discount to guess the mileage on he guessed 3-4000kms. He was more than a bit surprised when I told him it actually have 44,000 miles on them.

So if there is a Prius driver out there needing a tyre give me a shout.

I will report back later what the Dunlops are like.

my own car has 205/55/16 Michelin Primacy tyres all round on it,including the spare,they came on the car,and I cannot rate them high enough,only problem is when they wear down what will they cost to replace them,i'm in cork myself if any users are in the region?
