    Hi,
I hope some of you here can give some advice. I am one of the legacy Eircom shareholders and I have the Verizon shares (securities = 24?).

I have the option of selling using the free share dealing service but need to decide today and send in the form as deadline is Friday.

Does anyone have any advice on this either way?

I would say it is not worth messing with US shares (tax on Divs etc etc) for such a small holding, I'd take the opportunity of selling them commission free if I was you (I know nothing about the Company by the way)

Hi Just last week my neighbour showed me a cheque from verizon he had decided to sell his shares. He bought a 1000 pounds worth of shares around 1996 or 97 (eircom shares). The amount on the cheque was 102.55 euro. He has his name his wifes name and their sons name as the shareholders these three names are on the cheque. Today his wife went to the bank to lodge the cheque into her account but the bank wouldnt allow her. They said she must set up a bank acc with their three names before she can lodge the 102.55 I think the 102 e was enough of an insult without this hassle. She is going to try another bank tomorrow

Would she not endorse it and get them to sign their names on it? Or if its aib or BOI use an automated cheque lodging machine. I know someone still processes the cheque. But they may not notice it

I will let her know tomorrow I know she has not been to another bank since. It is an ulster bank cheque and this is the bank she would normally use and they know her well still would not change it. Will let her know to get all names singed on the back of the cheque and see what happens.

    Thanks

Is anyone experiencing delays in getting their funds for selling these shares. I sent off my form on March 24th and have still not heard anything back yet ? I'm assuming there was a last minute rush to sell and they are dealing with the backlog.

    Thanks.
