Dentists that 'power wash' your teeth??

Okay, it sounds odd, I know, but has anyone ever had this kind of a cleaning done?? It's the only way I can describe it.

I had my teeth cleaned last month, and I was very disapponted with the result. Before that, it had been a year since my last visit, and the dentist at the time gave them such a good cleaning..not just a scale and polish, but as the title suggests, a kind of power wash, my mouth felt great after it. After my recent visit, I was still left with marks on my teeth, and they didn't look anything like what they did after the last time.

The dentist in the practice has changed since the visit last year, but I'm curious to know if anyone knows of or has had a similar thing done!

No, its called air polishing, air abrasiopn is different. Air polishing sends a stream of fine powder and water at the teeth to remove all the stains in between the teeth without removing the tooth structure. A lot of dentist have this, ask for it specifically.

Yes, this could have been it! There was a lot of water involved, and it was even going against my breath at times. I must ask about it on my next visit, thank you! :)
