I installed a 240GB Kingston SSD into my laptop then I ran the Acronis software and selected the disk cloning options to make an exact copy to the SSD. I checked the drive and it looked okay. ( The old disk was in the USB box that came with the SSD kit)

But when I boot up off the SSD it boots up a bit and then flashes a blue screen and reboots. Can't see what the blue screen says :( , does the same if I try safe mode. The repair process can be run but it finishes and says it can't repair the windows and gives no info as to what the error is.

Anyone got any idea why this doesn't boot up?
I tried the clone 2 times and I also ran checkdisk from another machine to see if the filesystem was corrupted.

Driver issues maybe? What have you got your drive mode set to in the BIOS? IDE or AHCI? I think SSDs need AHCI mode, so if you used Windows in IDE mode before then you'll have to do a clean install under AHCI
