To me sometimes a nightmare in photography is taking 2 similar pictures and not knowing which one to keep, well I found a subject called Digger yesterday in Amiens street and I think you will agree with me that you couldn't blame me for discarding only 4 of the 11 that I took. Would love to know ur favourite one.

    2 & 5

Third one for me. The nicotine stained fingers grabbing the smoke out of the character ridden face is the best composition for me.

    yea the 5th

    I like 4.

But the yellowed fingers would be interesting to show youngsters who think smoking is "Cool".

Okay, let's face it, they are all pretty damn good shots. There's something alive in each one..............yellow fingers an' all!
    Great work Animal Rights.

PS- you couldn't pay a model to pull that look off!

the 5th one for me too - like it a lot - sometimes picking best shot is tough task , less is always best in my opinion -

The colour ones are great Janer (which is odd for me as i'd normally have a preference for b/w and/or monotones).

Technically I think #1 and #6 are better than #3 (better sharpness at the eyes I think). If it were me i'd strip out the non colour ones and pick #1 or #6. To go further, as its a portrait i'd then go for #6.

    Super portrait eitherways.

I like #1. this guys face has some stories to tell and I think any with his hand blocking it takes away from it

He is 76 years of age. dropped into the Pub today to buy him a pint but he wasn't there.

I can safely say that I am very very happy with the shots, how often can we say as photographers that we are happy with something? It's def rare in my books.

1 & 5 but they are all keepers in fairness. Great character for shots. The face alone tells a storey of a hard life.

    The last one for me.

Think it's the last one for me too. However, the stained fingers in colour really add something so I'm a little torn. Amazing work.
