2006 Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI - timing belt due?

    Hi,

I'm looking at a 2nd hand 2006 Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI estate. It's on 119k miles (191k km) and from looking at a service schedule on the Ford website it suggests the timing belt would be due for replacement at 120k miles service.

The service schedule I found was general for all Ford cards and I'm assuming they vary a good bit depending on model/engine/size etc.

Would the timing belt and major service be due on this car pretty much immediately? It's being NCT'd this week so hopefully non regular maintenance issues will get picked up on there.

    Thanks

Usually 100k miles on Fords or 10 years for belt change.

Thanks, sounds like it's well overdue so.

Use it as a haggling point with the seller.
