In the case of a 1 - 2 days pw unpaid work experience, do you need to inform Social Welfare and what is the procedure, i.e. forms to fill out? Thanks.

If it's unpaid - and if you'd drop it like a hot potato if someone offered you paid work for those days - then I wouldn't bother.

I agree, usually I'd turn the other way from unpaid work. It's for a course where prior experience is an advantage to acceptance.
