    Hi

Ive never been insured on a bike but have a Provisional A license as it was on the full car license without me knowing since 2006.

What insurance companies will insure me and who would you recommend? I know a lot have restrictions for younger drivers on new provisionals etc..

If you had a provisional licence on your full licence in 2006 it's long expired and you will need to restart the process with the theory, IBT and then test. Since you've had a licence for 8 years you should be able to get a A learners permit.

It was renewed with the license just in time to not lose it. Definitely not expired.

Im not sure if it has 993 on it as the license is in the post now so cant check. never paid attention to it before so cant remember either.

If your learner permit is in the post, it should be an A unrestricted type.
You would have to complete ibt to validate the unrestricted A before you go on any public road with a suitable bike.
    Your old 25kw A = A2 (35kw) so the unrestricted A is a newer category.
