    Hello!

I'm thinking of coming to Ireland to live and work, since situation in Croatia is more then catastrophic. I am a fresh BSc of Informatics without experience. So my question is: can non experienced young man find some job in IT sector??
I was also thinking of doing some Jobbridge internship if that's possible for non-Irish people, since I don't think that I'm eligible for receiving benefits from social welfare.

Thanks very much and greetings form crappy Croatia! :D

P.S. Sorry if this is double topic

Don't think you'd be eligible for the JobBridge as you are not claiming social welfare for three months. What languages do you speak, aside from English, and how well do you speak them? A few of the large multilingual companies will hire people if they speak certain languages well.

Also, depending on the year you got your BSc, it may not be worth anything. I've worked with people from ex-soviet bloc countries whose qualifications were not recognised as their country was not part of the EU at the time that they finished their education.

Check the ibm.ie website, they operate a huge support centre in Ireland and are constantly looking for language graduates.

The pay is poor (about 21k)

Is it possible for non-Irish to receive social welfare?? I got my diploma 3 weeks ago so I think it's going to be valid. Croatia is an EU member from last summer. Beside croatian I only speak english, pretty good I may add.

You need to think about the cost of living here. Living on €21K in certain parts of Ireland, particularly in the cities, would be tough. Best of luck.

If you have a comp degree, look for graduate programs for some of the bigger comps. Some of the biggest tech companies are here in dublin. It'd be worth a look.

    Google
    Microsoft
    Accenture
Avaya (actually looking for multiple grads see the site link to gradireland below)
    Deloitte
All of the banks (AIB, Bank of Ireland are probably the biggest)
    Citi
    Irish Life and Permanent Plc

This site looks like a pretty decent catch all for graduate work in Ireland.

    Grad Ireland
