    Hi all,

have 17ac that I have a pick of grass on and I gave to a fella to clean off for me in two weeks with a blast of hoggets... what should I charge him for it?

I.d like to be fair as he's doing me a favour!

You should pay him as he has set up your ground for the summer

I should have clarified, it is for the purpose of reseeding..

it's a cost to me and a cost saving to him; where is your logic?!

he has insisted on paying but also insists I specify the amount...

my thinking is after grass in my region is €30/ac for 3 months grazing so I wouldn't be hard on him at €70 for the lot?!

you'd be gifting it to him at that.

round our way 30 an acre would be the going rate for unfertilised aftergrass in the autumn. depending on how much grass is on the field right now I'd reckon around 10-15 euro an acre wouldnt be robbery.

it's not the time he has it for that counts its the amount of grass he's getting off it.

10c/hd per day and that's my final offer
