In another thread news of an 1992 10 pence which was left unsold at over 5000€ at a recent auction. The 1992 10p is a rarity as well as the 1985 20p coin, also scarce is the 1986 50p, 1986 10p, 1986 1/2p because they could be only found in the 1986 set issued by the CB, but what other decimals if any are inclined to have high valuations?
Also noted from the same auction unc/bu 50p`s x 3 from the 70`s fetched 90€

You can add the 1985 Halfpenny to that list. Some of those 50p's from 1974 to 77 & 82 are scarce in high grades only.

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread but do you have any idea what would be the value of an 1985 halfpenny? What would it expect to fetch at auction?
    (btw I don`t own one :-( ....)

Well exactly three years ago one went for 800 Euro on ebay, it was in bright almost UNC condition. I did see lower grade ones for less since, but that should give you some idea. So I suppose anything up to 1,000 Euro now depending on condition.

Come to think of it I have also seen sellers asking for 2,500 for them but I don't know whether they actually sold at those kind of prices.
