Limiting traffic on right of way ?

This lane is being destroyed by a famer who has a right of way, as he started using ever larger vehicles some 18 months ago. Verges and drainage channels no longer exist, posts knocked out and cattle grids damaged.

It is a bog lane and starting to sink in places because of his use., or rather abuse

There is also a bridge that is being endangered by excessive loads.
I have read on various solicitors sites that we can legally limit the type and amount of traffic on our lane but i cannot find the exact law.

I am drafting a letter to send to the man is a very diffcult person and need exact references. Would be so grateful to the experts here for any information on this

And also if we do this and he ignores it, what recourse do we have? The cost of any court action is beyond us. We are at present in a Small Claims court situation to try to recoup some of the latest repair costs.

    Thank you.

No experts here. Try a solicitor.
