Possible new idea?

    Hi folks,

I am thinking of an idea and would be great to get some feedback.

Basically it is based around the fact that there are a huge number of people out there writing / blogging great content which never sees the light of day, since their blogs never get found, they don't know how to promote them, and the world of blogs and content is highly fragmented to begin with.

The idea is a site that would allow people to post on a daily basis on their topics of interest and / or expertise, and the site would promote their content on social media and elsewhere.

So the site gets content and builds a brand / name, and so do the contributors. The site owners would also produce their own content.

Obviously it wouldn't be a free-for-all, naturally there would be moderation and would start off as invite only, etc.

It seems like a really obvious idea but could be really good I feel.

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

To be honest this doesn't sound new at all. It sounds like a group blog or a site that several writers contribute to like her.ie or thejournal.ie. Will there be an editor(s), who decides what content goes up and when? Will it be focused on one subject or any subject?

    Hi miamee,

Thanks for the reply. You are right, I have since refined the idea and in fact it wasn't quite how I ended up describing it!

The actual site I have live now is one where you can save and share tips, links, insights and just general daily musings. I wanted somewhere where I could both store links and articles of interest, as well as being able to write quick-fire blogs and posts.

If you or anyone else is interested in taking a look, can PM me you the link!

Even if no-one else uses it, I will still find it useful :)
