No heat in d/stairs radiators

    Evening All,
I just moved into a house and don't seem to have any heat in the d/stairs rads. and some of the upstairs rads as well.
I've tried to trace the heat in the pipework as i started the boiler to see if I could find the source of the problem. I'll outline the pipework as I traced the heat from the boiler.
Boiler is connected to the gas mains heater in d/stairs utility room.
Feed goes up into the upstairs hot press and T's off into a manifold feeding the rads and main feed into immersion tank.
Feed out of immersion tank back to d/stairs boiler.Out of the immersion tank there is T from another manifold presuming again from the rads.
Also when the boiler is running there is a periodical gurggling from the pipework in the hot press and the rads upstairs are warm not piping hot.
I think i know the issue but I'm fishing here to see if I'm on the right wave length. I've just got the boiler services today so I know its functioning right.

    thanks in advance
    S

Any heat in the pipes leading into the radiators? Bleed the radiators, as they may be full of air.

Sounds like the system is low on water pressure and needs to be topped up and rads bleeding

What is the pressure gauge reading on your boiler ?

I should of mention I checked the rads d/stairs but not upstairs: rookie mistake I think....

I talked to the plumber who services the boiler and the gauge was reading around 1 bar(g) when he services it yesterday morning. When I was checking last night the gauge had fallen nearly back to zero.

I'm going to prime the boiler with water again this evening and bleed off the rads again as it seems to be just badly airlocked speaking to the plumber....

Why didn't the plumber check that the system was working correctly, after servicing the boiler. Maybe I am being naive but I would have thought that ensuring the system was working properly was an integral part of servicing.
