Interesting fact a lot of the council bins in my area were bought from Salford City and still said Salford City on them.

    Yeah.

On a day when the Govt. in England cut funding in grassroots football it's good to see ex-pros taking an interest in investing in their local side and helping them develop.

Salford as an area, is doing pretty well for itself in terms of attracting wealthy owners. Their Rugby League team is owned a rich Arab guy iirc.

Yep, Palestinian, he has gone the way of other sports team owners and renamed them. From Salford City Reds to Salford Red Devils (red Devils was already their nickname). Put in a good few quid.

Salford also has media city so it's on the up? Still a horrible dump at the moment though.
