Is there an 8" or bigger tablet that is worth buying that would cost in or around €200? I'd be looking to get one tomorrow or Saturday. Or am I not going to get anything decent for that price??

Thanks. Is this available in stores in Ireland?? My missus lost her Nexus 7 a couple of weeks ago so I thought I'd buy her a new one..

Got the 10 inch Hannspree a few weeks back 169 euro in did. Don't go near it!
Very disappointing, slow, unresponsive touch screen, bad battery life.
My advice save your money until u can afford something decent, it sees with tablets you get what you pay for.

Take a look at the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 for Stg£170.

That looks the business. Going to read reviews of that now and the LG one recommended earlier

Definitely go for the LG G Pad still only £179 on amazon. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 is also good, if you can find it for £149 or lower (I wouldn't pay any more than that). Got it for my mother and she absolutely loves it, perfect size for portability imo.

The G Pad is a significant step up spec wise though, so I'd recommend it over the Galaxy Tab.

Actually looking at this Asus now...........

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-ME102A-10-1-inch-Tablet-Black/dp/B00GV7J9L2

It might fit the bill better. It's for my wife. She'd prefer the 10" screen as she found the 7" Nexus screen a bit small.

There will be no heavy gaming done on this tablet so there isn't really a requirement for huge RAM and the 1GB on this should be more than enough.

Here's another alternative http://www.amazon.it/Samsung-Pollici-memoria-Megapixel-Android/dp/B00E957AB4 . Not the fastest tablet around, but very easy to use and at a very reasonable price.

    Hi
Went with the Asus in the end. Delighted with it. Smooth, snappy, good screen.

Also we found my wife's Nexus the last day!! I get that now, so everyone is happy!!!

I bought the Asus in PC World though. I knew I was paying more for it than I would have if bought online but I did need to buy it at short notice and couldn't wait for an online delivery
    It cost me €229............................
