Cork engine centre in little island should be able to fix it no matter how bad it is, might be better than fitting a used engine where you don't know the history. It'll be expensive but the engine should be as good as new. Are you sure the engine is fooked?

    2.0Dci in the 08?

Should be the same engine as the Vivaro and Primastar of the same age use, which is still fitted to current models.

Surely one written off somewhere, although there's always a chance that it's the engine that's written it off.....

Partfinder.ie is listing JP Breakers, Unit j5 marina commercial pk, Centre Park Rd, Cork as having a complete engine from a 2008 Vivaro 2.0CDTi 115ps as available

    Mobile (087) - 1701499

Worth a call to see if the engine code is the same.

    Also saying they've an 07 Primastar 2.0 115ps with a full engine.

Be very careful to check that the primastar has abs. I'm not joking I know up to very recently all Nissan commerical vans didn't come with abs as standard it was an optional extra that's why my dad always bought the vivaro or trafic when buying that size van. It's probably changed now but just double check. Best of luck.

Think its mandatory now. Stick on goodyears in 205/65/16 you have to do ridiculous things to get the abs to kick in.

I know but if you can get a trafic or vivaro for the same money with abs it would be a better but. But I think your right since about last year they have abs but as I said upto very recently they didn't have it I just thought it was worth mentioning.

Yep. Theres a base model that never really sold. New one is the comfortline. Only one above is the executive spec.

Ah right. Are you just coming to the end of the whole messing around with vans and stuff going wrong. I have to say I know its a lot of money but there's a lot to be said for getting into a yoke that you know will start and go where ever you need to go and not cause trouble. And if it does break down its nissans problem not yours. I have to say I'm coming to an end of the whole messing with cars that seem to only cause trouble. It's grand at the start but you do get sick of stuff going wrong although there nothing wrong with the focus now but it took a lot of effort to get it like that.
