Entitled to rent relief?

    Am I entitled to rent relief? I have moved into an apartment August 2013. I was at home prior to this although when I was in college 2008/9 I rented a room in a house. Would this entitle me to claim rent relief on my current apartment?

    Similar question.

    I was renting from early 2010 to late 2011, didn't rent after that until 2013. There is nothing on the revenue website saying anything about renting for a continuous period, only that you must have been renting on dec 10th 2010 or something.

    So, would I be entitled to the relief for 2013? As far as I can see, yes, but is there something I'm not seeing?

    "The credit for the years 2011 onwards applies to individuals who were renting a propety on 7 December 2010. No credit is due to individuals who began renting after 7 December 2010."

    You began renting in 2013 so no credit is due.
