I assume he is lobbying the Co Co to bring in more local business taxes to pay for it?

What's the saying about making assumptions? Oh yeah, don't, as it makes an ass out of....etc.

Why would you assume anything? The potholes in Cavan and elsewhere would practically swallow a heifer at times. The man's right to make a stand over it.

Anyone remember what the roads were like around the country in the 70's and 80's? The potholes that man's highlighted are as bad as anything ye would have seen then and are inexcusable today.

Look at the state of the bloody roads some people have to drive on outside of the cities and towns:

    Feck that.

Good on him. Potholes can cause damage and even accidents.

Good Jesus. The first image on that article could cause an accident

Is Cavan Co Co too mean to fix them? Shocker..

Let it be said that a few years ago there was a bunch of Cavan folk who managed to get themselves in the papers whinging about potholes on their local road. What they conspicuously failed to acknowledge was that the road was a cul-de-sac, the surface of which had been ripped up by agricultural equipment owned by themselves. Nobody else other than the local postman was affected by the condition of the road.

The co. co. offered to repair the road if the locals agreed to a part-funding arrangement i.e. they would chip in a contribution. Needless to say (we are talking about Cavan remember), they refused the offer.

What a great idea! It makes pot holes more visible and compels the authorities to address it. I would say lets all start doing this. I am certainly going to go and get a fluorescent yellow paint can and bring it with me when I am out walking...

No issue providing funding and man hours to erect signage for questionable national speed camera van network.

Prosecution for improving road safety by highlighting dangerous road surface.

    /Make sense.
