I have a small job that I need to do with some Tec 7 .. I have the usual cartridge and the caulking gun, but it is too big and dispenses too much of the stuff. I want to make the job as neat as possible. Is there anything that I could transfer some of the Tec 7 to to do the job a little more cleanly/accurately..

you most likely cut too much off the applicator head. Pop into local store and pick up another. In most cases, there is a small piercing in place which will allow a very small bead once the gun is triggered.

    Hey dodzy,

I dont think I cut too much off it. I did it pretty much by the book I think.. But one thing I was thinking of doing was getting one of those replaced caps and cutting a small hole in it..

But even at that, the stuff would come out too quickly.. I'm gonna head over to Woodies and see if I can find anything..

if you use some masking tape to 'border' the gap you are sealing - after you peal off the masking tape, it will leave a nice clean edge... practice first tho!

Just buy a normal gun there about a 5er. Takes effort to get it out then

you could always put some in an ordinary needle syringe minus needle of course get 1 the size you need in chemist shop just top up the syringe from your tec7 tube as required

ive used this trick many times and it works a treat with no mess

use a cake decorating and icing gun and a small fine hole in icing nozzle . you will get a cake icing gun and kit in dealz or the eurogiant shope for 1 euro 49 cents . ive used this trick on several occasions with caulking and also tec-7 in very confined spaces and it allways works a treat . dont forget your masking tape too .

Good ideas guys. I've thought along the lines of getting a needle but what put me off using it was the fact that I would probably not be able to use a syringe multiple times. But thinking about it, I bought a couple of small syringes in a pharmacy for 50c each, so that really should be a problem.

I actually have a few small syringes here that I was using for putting ink into a printer, so I'll have a shot with one of those.

Also thought about the cake decorating set, was actually considering buying one in homebase, but I reckon there's a fair chance the Tec 7 stuff will seize up inside the decorating set after I've used it for the first time.
