hi, im building an extension under an existing roof there are two walls there already so im just closing in the other two sides to create an extra room. the new walls are going to be timber framed.

The problem im having is I cant find anything to cover the exterior apart from white plastic cladding or wood. My house is rough plaster and I don't thing either of these two will look very nice with that. I have seen something which is perfect but I don't know what its called, the only way I can explain it is , When some companies build conservatories rather than building the walls under the windows with blocks they make a frame and cover the outside with a board with a choice of different affects on the outside. some are brick, stone or plaster effect.

If anybody could please tell me what this stuff is called or point me in the direction of something else that's suitable that would be great help.

thanks, sorry for the long winded explanation .

Have a look at trespa panels. We used them on a section of a timber frame extension. Quite expensive but it looks great.
You can also get exterior concrete boards (like indoor slabs) which can then be plastered. Might be a cheaper option.

really like the trespa product range. the 'concrete boards' are known as cement fibre boards.

Also there is a relatively new 'mediate' wood fibre water proof board, i saw somewhere it has a 50 year guarantee. Might be worth a look.
