Nice to hear an Irish voice on the RT....anyone know him?

    Possibly an ex FR man....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,156 ✭✭✭cuterob

Skip to the 1:00 mark in this, could be him, I know a few lads who jumped from FR to Norwegian recently, but they are flying short haul on the 738 the ones I know

It's such a shame they destroyed a beautiful machine with that livery. Is it just me or does anyone else have a hard time understanding how they came up with it? 😊

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,346 ✭✭✭✭homerjay2005

    The flying tampon?
    Looks dreadful alright.

Flying tampon, I like it. It'd be a lot nicer if it was either all red or all white.

Is it in Dublin for tail portrait?

I did see pics online that were taken inside H6. Didn't think they did painting in there.

I visited a norwegian one in Malaga last summer - landed just after me. 16 stripes in the cockpit (they were doing a bit of training), one of them was a very nice lad from Cork! Might have been him :)

Agreed. I never liked it. There is something very odd looking about the Norwegian livery  I could say what it reminds me of, but I'll refrain. At the same time though, the tails are very impressive.

I think if the transition from white to red on the fuselage was slanted rather than vertical, the livery would be quite nice and original. Agreed the tails are great-looking.

Getting its design painted on its tail in the Hangar

A slanted gradient would be nice, and a less intense red.

Well scheduled time is 1700 but the crew are on board, doors closed and tug attached. They could be running some tests but they look pretty ready from here.

Yeah it is a quite one and the fact that it was empty as well would have meant it would be even quieter than normal.
