    Hi im moving from laois to carlow and was wondering does it take long for my social money to be transfered and will i have to go to the social welfare in portlaoise or can it be done in carlow

    Hi, you will need to go to the new office (Carlow) and bring with you Proof of your address and photo ID. Carlow will request the claim from Portlaoise and once they receive it the claim will go back into payment. should be no longer than a week unless there is a major change of circumstances, i.e. living with a partner, going casual etc.
