Hi all, I have a 1974 Citroen DS that's falling to bits on me, would anyone know of a workshop in Galway that does restoration work? I mainly need bodywork done. A quick search brings up Autoexmoto - anyone have experience with them?

    thanks!

    never heard of them.

I'd be looking for someone who's done one before tbh - even if that means to the UK with it.

Not sure if he'd be in the market to do it, but you could try Jon Millar at http://www.classiccarworkshop.ie/ - I and others I know have used him, and he's top notch. Wouldn't cost anything to ask - and if he can't, he might know someone who would.

This will give you an idea of his capabilities http://www.classiccarworkshop.ie/280SL/280SL.html

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

I've just looked through that link (and speaking as panel beater by trade) I can say that is a top quality restoration! I've never met the man but Mr. Millar knows his stuff!

Thanks galwaytt, that's a good point about finding someone who's done it before. I'll give him a ring and see what he says
