Hi just wondering if you owe 6 months tax on a car, but it's not worth taxing and you scrap the car are you liable for the tax owed. Cheers

Can I ask why you wouldn't think that you owe it? If you fail to pay tax on your wages, and then later retire, do you think you could just avoid the tax liability?

OK, so the real question is whether your friend will be pursued for the back tax. I'm afraid I don't have any experience of this and can't comment.
