    Hello there,
Last year my husband and I went to Dubrovnik. We loved it and would highly recommend as a holiday destination.
We are thinking of Montenegro this year.
Any recommendations of a particular area? We like to base ourselves by the sea and take day trips as opposed to a few days here and there.
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi piptypibe!

You may want to consider Lustica Peninsula - it's near Dubrovnik (2 hours by car - even less by boat). There are 20+ beaches, 5 of which are blue flag. You'll find many small family restaurants with local food. Lustica is located at the entrance of the famous Kotor Bay. Here are some aerial pics:

For accommodation I can recommend Lustia House - google it.

They're also building Lustica Bay resort near Oblatno beach, with golf course, but don't be afraid - it won't ruin your holiday since there are many other places and peninsula isn't a small one.

    Hope this helps!
