crowd funding....???? What would work ?

    I know that if there was a crowd funding collection to get Waterford going again i'd contribute.
    Let's say that you put money in a jar and it is divided up as per "dragons den" to help start businesses up in the city/county....No big repay with interest disadvantage just an honest approach...
    Would it work ?
    What business would you start ?

    Its amazing what wonderful business ideas there are until you have to actually back your idea with some (at least 50%, or at least a repayment requirement) of your own money...

    If I did have loadsa money to try something, I would do something tourist/ all year / history-ish
