Wow where'd tou find a pacman cabaret?
    I love pacman.
    Try pm mitchomagic
I think a lot of pokers ran 13" so it should be easily got, screen burn could be an issue though.

There's a decent 40in1 vertical game board available online for about €50-€80 which has pacman, space invaders, etc

I seen them and was thinking about it

my biggest concern for the project
is the power supply and now the monitor the power supply looks very complex
and messed up if i am able to connect a new power supply successfully and get a new monitor, the the rest is just graft on cleaning up the appearance fingers crossed

You didnt buy that off me by any chance did you? the space zap cab, same shape as a pacman cabaret?

I have 2 14" monitors, both from pokers and have some screen burn you can have if needed, i havent tested them. I also have a 13" screen from a taito cocktail, but its black and white.

just looked at your username, was yourself alright, you necked the monitor?

Urbanlegend thats very kind of you Im living in Dublin and would love some help hooking up new power supply, when I get 1, If it suits you?

Hi Keith yes you must have sold me it, its that space zap, I googled space zap the other day and found your blog on how you got the cabinets in Cork great story, did you sell all the taitio cabarets they would look so good restored fully, Im not sure if the 14" colour one's will fit okay with the cabinet molding ?

    Im in naas myself,
I also have a working 13/14" tube.same as keiths with screen burn.
Your going to struggle to find one without burn that size.
    Ive never seen one anyway!

You'll get good advice here on how to hook up the power supply.
I'd get a monitor sorted first.
What a shame you necked it tho.I was so tempted to get that cabinet myself
would be shame to change the art on it in my opinion.

Is the power supply a modern switching type, or the older type with two different boards?

It looks like two power supplies part of it is in steel casing wires all over the shop

Yeah I was pissed when the neck on it broke the cat got into the back of it I locked it in not knowing it was in there, it broke the power supply from its location that was nailed to coin collection box, it was tangled ever were at the bottom of the box when I tried to put the back panel back on bang snap hiss form gas coming out

I think ill restore it to a pacman or use the japaneese space invaders control panel to make a space invaders thanks for the offer on the monitors

    .

Picked up a 13" colour off mitch last week~! havent hooked it up yet, but i cant see any burn on it! Got lucky, will be great in my cocktail space invaders! it came from a cocktail cab he had.

Id say that cab has the older type setup you see in cocktail tables, it will have two boards connected to the monitor and probably a block thing that converts the power too. If you use a 14" poker i dont know if it will wire up to that old style stuff, ive never done it anyways. i struggled trying to figure out that myself with my cocktail, got luck and got that 13 inch one!
