BA Commerce International Experience

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anybody knew about the international experience program in the commerce course NUIG? I would love to spend a year in America but was just wondering what the statistics are for getting accepted to go? And also where is the best (non campus) (private) accommodation for first years?!
