    Hello folks,

Yesterday evening we took action to remove an active thread from after hours. Those of you who participated are aware of the thread. It was a link to an article by an Irish independent journalist.

We removed this thread because it contained a huge number of sexist and degrading comments. A wide array of insults and abuse.

This little forum we have here on boards is not a meeting point to mock and degrade others. This is not the place to pick on people in the public eye. To poke fun and abuse. This is not our M.O. Fair criticism is one thing. The kind of vitriol spewed in that thread was far far away from fair criticism.

To the many who reported posts and highlighted this to us we thank you and will endeavour to do better in future to avoid this kind of behaviour.

To the small minority of you who indulged in mocking, casual sexism, abuse and degradation on this thread however, we want you to know that this is not the place for that type of thread. If you want to use a bulletin board to indulge in that crap then go ahead and find somewhere else. We don't want you here.
