Temp Job and Medical Card

Hey everyone. I was hoping that i could get some advice on something, or even just some insight. If this is the wrong forum, mods feel free to move it where necessary.

I've been offered a temporary job for 6 weeks. It's a full time job. And i really need the money. But i have to think about how it would plan out around my college exams, and more importantly my medical card.

But what i wanted to know was if i took the job, would it have any negative effects on my medical card. Seeing as i'm only going to have it for 6 weeks, and it's not permanent. I think im right in that i can work for a year before it's taken off me, but i'm not going to work anywhere near that amount of time.

I need my medical card as i have diagnosed medically conditions and i need it for medications. So if taking this job will cause me to loose it, then i'm hoping someone could tell me.

So i'm hoping some one has some really good knowledge that can help me out.

    Thanks :D

If it is only for a few weeks I would't worry about it. You can have up to 58k in savings and still qualify for a card, would this work put you over that limit:D

You can also retain a GP visit card for up to 3yrs after returning to work.
