I am currently driving Audi a1 2011 with 25 thousand kms on clock,1.2 turbo petrol.its a super car and we love it,however its too small for our needs and am looking to change for bigger car with similar engine, would love to buy a3 sportback ,however its very expensive,so I'm looking at Skoda Rapid Spaceback.its got 5 doors and space we need with lots of goodies ,and I can get a really good trade in deal.just wondering has anyone else got any suggestions.I would like to stay at 1.2 petrol. All ideas appreciated

What is your budget? I'd be looking at the 1.2TSi 105BHP Yeti or Octavia Combi.

    Maggie, try the link below...

I'm using the m.boards view, but that should take you to creating a new thread.

The Leon and the Skoda are the same car underneath but with different bodies. Same engines, interior layout almost identical.

The Octavia has a bigger body meaning boot space is bigger and rear access is slightly better. I doubt you'd need the estate unless carrying large bulky loads.

The Leon is a smaller car, can be had in either a hatchback or estate. The spec is better in the Leon but it can look very plain without the 17 inch wheels or LED headlights. I have one (but only the last week) and it's smooth, quiet and extremely economical for what it is. Boot space is decent as is space in the back.

How about considering a pcp on a new A3 and seeing what it would cost per month ? If too expensive try a pcp on Leon/Golf also you dont need a large deposit .. just to add that is what i did this year loved the A3 but bought a highline golf on a pcp E300 per month ..

The A3 is a class above a rapid and would be more comparable to an Octavia.

The rapid is a bigger version of a polo with both being in the same class.
