I am currently applying for the medical card under grounds of financial hardship. I live with my boyfriend. Should I put all his details down too as my partner?

Yes, the Application Form requests your partner's name, PPS No, income details, certain expenses etc., and back-up documentation.

Thanks for that. He's not applying for a card as well though so do I leave off his doctors details and stuff like that? I assume it's just his income and expenses they'd be interested in?

Can I ask why he's not applying for a card? If you qualify surely he'd qualify too.

I am applying on the grounds of undue financial hardship as I have huge medical expenses every month for an ongoing condition. We wouldn't qualify on income grounds when assessed together so I just assumed I should just apply on my own as I'm the one with the costs

My understanding is that your intitial application should be together. If this is refused, you can appeal your own case on medical ground. My application is in 6 weeks now and still heard nothing back.
