I dont really know if im in the right place here... I'm studying in nuim at the moment.. I'm finding myself worried the whole time and missing classes and assignments.. though I could go to the docs and explain but I was told you have to come in sick when you're sick to get a not (if ya get me).. so now I'm twice as bad.. I really want to do well but I'm struggling.. and I also think I'm getting anxiety attacks.. what should I do?

    Hi Aoife524,
I'm going to move your thread to the Personal Issues forum as I think you'll get better advice there.
    Best of luck with it,
    Sauve.

    Hi OP,

first off, you should be approaching the college's health services from the point of view of meeting your anxiety head on, not just from the point of view of getting a sick note, so ignore that side of things for now.

The important thing though is that you are far from being the only student who has walked through their doors suffering from stress and anxiety, so don't hesitate to set up an appointment with them - they have seen it plenty of times before and are equipped to help students such as yourself. They may also recommend that you pay a visit to the college counsellor just to talk things out with - if they do, take them up on the offer of an appointment, as it does help.

But long story short, don't be afraid to go straight to the health centre. That's what they're for.

OP please don't open the same thread multiple times, this is viewed as spamming and can result in moderator action up to and including a ban.

As the other thread is active I am closing this one.

    Thanks
    Taltos
